In case you haven't heard, Jack Charlton passed away in June. I talked to Judy Charlton on 1/22 and she said the shipment of my newest order should go out in early February. If you want/need anything Mako, get your request to me ASAP as my order book looks about the same as it did shortly after the Mako reels were first announced. One more thing. There's been a lot of discussion about the smaller reel Jack was planning on doing. He never managed to get a prototype done, so that project has been canceled.

Some terrific news! I've become a Saracione dealer again. At least at this time I'm not going to be stocking the new Mark IV reels, but I can order them for you. Instead, Joe has decided to begin making his Ebonite hard rubber and German nickel/silver Deluxe II reels once again. But, at the very least, the 2.5" Midge, 2.75", 3.0", and 3.25" gear and pawl trout reels are available at $2500.00 each including a hard leather case, and the 3.5", 3.75", and 4.0" Disc Drag salmon reels will be $3000.00. His stated wait time on each is forty-five days. I'm sure to some degree that depends upon how swamped he gets with orders. I have several of the trout sizes in stock now! Call if you want one of them.

Hatch Reels has just announced a series of "custom" reels. There are six models total, and they are engraved by artist Lance Marshall Boen. Now this engraving isn't just laser engraving or a painted finish like Abel's gorgeous finishes. These are deep machined relief engraving the likes of which I'm not sure I've seen on fly reels before. Each reel comes with a leather case and a wooden "wine box" for display. Prices range from $1200.00 to $2650.00 and they are available now. Also, just announced are two new sizes of Hatch reels, the 4+ and the 11+ in addition to a new custom reel, the René Harrop Custom 4+. I'd also like to note that I've decided to become a full-fledged Beulah flyrod dealer. That means I'm going to keep most of their models in stock for immediate delivery. I will also carry most of their lines that match up to those rods. Go to Misc/Used and click on the menu item that says FLY RODS. Most of the information you'll want to know will be there, and I'll continually update it as more becomes available. These are superb rods at a very fair price.

This site is set up to work best with Internet Explorer. No matter what we do, some pages do not show up correctly when viewed with a different browser. One remedy is to adjust your screen size if data is piled upon each other.
