Bradley Reels NOTE 6/1/08: Due to a lack of any real interest in Bradley Reels on this site, I'm selling them out at 20% off. I think they are a terrific alternative to the the other American made classic reels which retail for well ovr $500.00. However, you are the final determiners of sales, and I just haven't seen much interest here. Take 20% off the price shown below. I have essentially one of each model shown in the table below, and I will try to keep it accurate so that when I sell one I'll mark that model as out of stock. That means I have four reels total in stock as of 7/25/08.

Bradley reels are also sometimes referred to as Firbrook reels. They are designed and crafted by master reelmaker Ricahrd A. Bradley in Livingston Manor, New York. He offers a number of sizes and styles and features an amazing number of options including engraving. One of the innovations of the Bradley reel is the replacement of the gear and pawl system used for decades by various reelmakers for his own design of a gear and ball. The reels therefore give up line smoothly and do not need to be accessed internally for conversion from left hand to right hand retrieve or vice versa. All models come with 12% nickel/silver back buttons, counterbalances, and shoulder screws. The frames and serpentine handles are of hand polished aluminum. The sideplates have a black satin finish with a Delrin knob. The reelfoot and handle are finished in silver while the frame is champagne. Each reel is serialized and comes with a lifetime warranty which is transferable for $25.00.
